When in Rome is your everyday romantic comedy, but I will say that the laughs were there and the plot was funny. A good cast has a lot to do with the chemistry of these dime a dozen films. This one just happens to star Hollywood starlet Kristen Bell, who may be one of the hottest young stars to hit Hollywood in some time. Both talented and extremely cute, she is the total package, and with so many roles coming her way lately, I think she'll be around a while. Her on screen romance is played by Josh Duhamel. They met for the first time at her sisters wedding in Rome. Basically, she gets drunk, feels sorry for herself, and begins to take coins out of the "Love Fountain". These coins represent the hope of true love for anyone who tosses one in. What she doesn't know is, anyone who removes coins, will immediately cause the throwers to fall madly in love with her. She removed 5 coins, so from that day on she has 5 men stalk her everyday, stating they are soul mates. One of these people is Nick (Duhamel). Unfortunately he is the one person she actually likes, and thinks what they have is real. She did not realize one of the coins was his. This makes her doubt their relationship. This Rom-Com co stars Danny Devito, GOB Bluth / Will Arnett, Dax Shephard, and John Heder as the hopeless romantics. I had little desire to watch this when my wife started it the other day, but it took my attention away from what I was trying to do at the time. Very enjoyable and definitely worth 90 minutes of your time.
