The Island

The Island was somewhat original, and somewhat Twilight zone or The Outer Limits mashed up into an action packed film. The Island as it is called is a lottery vacation escape given away to the residents that reside in this community. It is an all indoor community where everyone is a number instead of a name. One day Ewan McGregor starts asking questions, and his friend played by Scarlett Johansson, tags along on his adventure. He wonders why he has no memories, even though he is an adult. Their entire existence is based on routine. Sort of like the nicest maximum security prison you've ever seen. One things leads to another and his discoveries are extremely disturbing to him. He desperately begins spreading the word to the other "inmates". He also discovers once you win the lottery to the Island you never come back. He does the unthinkable and escapes this "prison" only to dive deeper into this mess, but he will not stop until he figures out every piece of the puzzle. It's as twisted as it is brilliant, and it gets better as it wraps up. I will not spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but for those who have, You know what I'm talking about.
