What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath does an absolutely perfect job of throwing suspense, action, and romance into
a film about two empty nesters looking to rekindle with each other, now that their only daughter has moved to college. I have always promoted this movie to anyone who needed a good first date movie with someone they really like. The way the suspense is so active you will have your arm gripped the entire time, without the nightmares that comes with extreme horror. It follows a woman, Michelle Pfeiffer, who thinks her neighbor is beating his wife, to which she eventually thinks he has killed. She is being haunted by a woman, and she thinks it's the woman from next door. This blows up in her face when a very public confrontation proves her wrong. Her Husband, Harrison Ford, thinks she is cracking up. He does histo many measures to solve the mystery, not only to help the girl, but to help herself. Quickly her focus changes to her husband, and details are unleashed about an affair he had with the girl while she was still alive, and now she wonders if her husband is capable of murder. A great twisted story that really makes you wonder. I have seen this movie probably 15 times and it's one of those rare films that contains a twist, but is still enjoyable to watch, even though I know how it will end. If you've seen this movie, you know why I posted that particular picture at the top. Enter the Ouija board, candles, and a ritual seance to speak to the woman that has not been able to enter the afterlife. Michelle goes
